Jessica Pineda, M.D.

I’m a board-certified psychiatrist and family physician with a special interest in the connection between physical and emotional health. My goal is to provide compassionate, collaborative care that helps people feel like themselves again through life’s many transitions.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from Luther College and my medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. I completed a dual residency in Psychiatry and Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati, where I served as Chief Resident.

I’m currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Family Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where I also direct the Women’s Mental Health Fellowship. I’m actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows across multiple disciplines.

I have extensive experience supporting women through emotional changes related to reproductive transitions — including PMDD, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. I also have a strong background in caring for medically complex patients and work closely with other specialists and primary care providers to offer thoughtful, integrated treatment.

I am licensed to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
